Bethel Music and Jenn Johnson leave space for a Gospel voice that hears the pocket differently.
The song is already familiar when Winans enters, which makes her rhythmic choices more obvious. She sits behind the beat and suddenly the melody has another history.
Johnson does not try to mirror her. The collaboration works because the voices keep their own grammar while the room holds the same refrain.
