ELEVATION RHYTHM Is Not a Junior Version of Anything

Same address, different constraints — and a catalogue that behaves like pop.

ELEVATION RHYTHM

The easy read is that RHYTHM makes youth-service versions of Elevation Worship songs. The catalogue does not support it.

“WASHED” is louder and shorter than anything on the parent catalogue. “GOODBYE YESTERDAY” with Gracie Binion is structured like a pop break-up record. “THANK GOD I'M FREE” with Lizzie Morgan barely pauses for a verse.

The exception

“At The Altar,” with Tiffany Hudson and Abbie Gamboa, is the one built for a room. It is also the clearest sign that the two projects are converging rather than dividing.

The release continues an argument about whether worship written for headphones stops being worship. The songs suggest the question is the wrong one.
