What Makes a Live Recording Feel Alive
Crowd noise is not enough. The room has to change the decisions being made onstage.

A live tag on a track title does not guarantee life. Applause can be mixed in, mistakes can be edited out, and a performance can still feel like the studio version wearing a larger coat.
The convincing recordings leave the negotiation audible. A singer waits because the room is still holding a phrase. The band drops because the congregation has become loud enough. Time stretches for a reason nobody could have charted in rehearsal.
That responsiveness is the document. The song is familiar; the choices made in the room are what make this version necessary.
